There are some terrific occasions on the Computer Merchants calendar, but for sheer size, content and adrenalin rush, it is hard to go past Cisco Live. Topping last year’s spectacular was no easy task – but Cisco delivered!
Our booth, in the aptly named World of Solutions, featured a motor racing theme that reflected the speed, agility and power of Cisco solutions. We chose a theme to highlight the importance of the right pit crew to include the most innovative and passionate engineers, to help our customers win in an ultra-competitive environment.
As always, an important part of Cisco Live was learning. The wide variety of sessions meant that there was something of interest to everyone, whether technical or business focussed. Our engineers enjoyed the technical sessions, and were able to pick up some new ideas about emerging Cisco capabilities.
“The Cisco specialists showed us how to extract APIs from the Cisco Meraki dashboard,” said Computer Merchants Cisco engineer Braithe Hollett.
“This will assist our Cisco Meraki customers to extract APIs to build new splash pages and monitoring agents, so they get even greater advantage from the solution.”
One of the most valuable elements of events like Cisco Live is learning a lot from our visitors to our booth. Networking with delegates, hearing about their challenges, pain points and opportunities, is a real education. Our team thrive on figuring out solutions to the seemingly impossible – and somehow making the complex seem simple.
It isn’t only our engineers who know a thing or two about speed, though – our customers showed they have what it takes to win in the driver’s seat. Our virtual reality race experience was a hit with the crowd.
Our customer service experts, were also on-hand to guide customers through some of the ways Computer Merchants bring projects together. In their everyday work, they specialise in making sure everything happens to plan, and taking the strain away from our busy customers. When you’re working on something complex, they’re good to have in your team.
The social side of Cisco’s events is legendary, and our management, sales and engineering team all thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many of you at the CiscoLive! On the Green event. As well as talking about broader technology-related issues and their business implications, we were privileged to learn more about the people behind the businesses we support. It proved what we already believed: the technologists and business leaders we partner with are among the most awesome people we could hope to meet.
If you didn’t make it to Cisco Live, but would like to know more about the emerging technology discussions and new information released – or just to challenge our engineers with your own complex IT and business dilemma – call us for a chat. We’re here to help.
Thank you Cisco – we’re already looking forward to seeing what you come up with next year.
