Dear Margaret, March 2007Dear Margaret,I’m so scared! My boss has just told me that I’ve got to go. He’s telling me that I am getting too old and complains that I’m too difficult to look after. She’s already found a replacement for me – I saw her yesterday all dressed in black (talk about high maintenance).After working here for so long tucked away in my little corner office, not bothering anybody, going about my business, day-in day-out I just don’t know what I’ll do.
I’m still in good shape, I’ve maintained myself and I know I could offer the right boss many more years of service.

Don’t worry RS, you’re not going to wind up on the streets!. Tell your boss to talk to the nice people at Computer Merchants (call them on 1800 777 111).
They will take you in and look after you. You’ll make lots of friends, as there are many others just like you that they look after. They’ll give you a good once over so you’ll feel good as new and then find you a new job where you will be able to continue to do what you do best.
