Improved Shipping And Packaging

Computer Merchants are always thinking of, and discovering, new and better ways to package and ship our products

The way we pack our products is vital to us, to make certain that your equipment arrives to you in the best condition. We understand that lost or broken equipment can lead to costly downtime for you.

Jiffy BagsSome of the changes that we have made include:

  • Air cap – this is an excellent cushioning for very fragile items.
  • Recycled paperenvironmentally friendly and excellent for void fills and light cushioning.
  • Jiffy bags – an all purpose rugged paper padded bag mainly for shipping cables and loose tapes.

For those of you who are overseas, you will have noticed we have increased the use of wooden crates. You may be aware that all wood needs to be fumigated when leaving Australia.

For items that do not need to go into a crate we are thinking about using plastic pallets. These are very light and easy to use and by removing the weight of a regular pallet can also mean lower freight costs.

If you have any experience with the plastic pallets we would love to hear from you to find out what your experience was like.

Hot Tip

AlertRemember to check your packaging thoroughly as items can easily get caught up in the packaging and may accidentally be thrown out.
