Look Out For New InstaPak Packaging

Here in the production department of Computer Merchants, the condition of products being distributed to you is of the utmost importance to us.

In fact, we guarantee our goods get to you safely, efficiently and on time. We are about to trial “Instapak Quick RT Packaging“, made by Sealed Air, which employs recyclable, cushioned material more cost efficiently than traditional packaging. Essentially Instapak is neatly packed foam cushions, which are activated into place by a chemical reaction when pressed upon.

After initialising, a first packet is positioned at the bottom of a box and the product is placed in the middle while the foam cushion expands. Another packet is then activated and placed over the product, moulding around the shape of the product. Then the box is sealed quickly, as the foam cushion continues to expand around the shape of it.

The product comes in various packet sizes. We are going to trial size 20 and 40. We will implement the larger size packaging for our outwards freight of servers, tape drives and various other products. Instapak will reduce the time taken to pack a product, and ensure the product arrives to you without damage in a neat and presentable fashion.
