Production Department Update 2007

Well what a start to the year! It has been an exciting time for the Production Department here at Computer Merchants. Here’s a little of what has been going on.

It started with two i520s in racks for one of our customers. These machines required 3 LPARs each and that was exciting. Then I was off to the USA for IBM P690 Training. Working with industry colleagues was a huge bonus, sharing ideas and strategies for the repair and diagnostic testing of IBM Midrange equipment.

Our new Engineering Facility is now complete and fully functional. This facility includes a Mezzanine storage area and an air conditioned computer room that lets me have up to four systems running at once.

And of course through all of this production has continued and I am pleased to report we have not yet missed a deadline even though things have been pretty busy. I look forward to talking with some of you soon.
