April 7th 2014 will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the IBM Mainframe Computer. When IBM unveiled the System/360 line of Mainframe computers, it was one of the most transformational products of any kind in history. Since that time, mainframe computers, like today’s IBM zEnterprise, have changed the way the world works by enabling countless innovations and enabling industry, enterprise and societal change.
